www.legion.org - Click on “Veteran Health Care” to get options on the service they will be able to help you with. It’s a very comprehensive site. On the home page, under both the Programs and Services buttons, there is a wealth of information about an array of topics to provide help and support. Under the Members button is wealth of information of products and services available to members.
www.vfw.org - VFW is a goldmine of help and support. The objective of “The Mental Wellness Campaign” is to “Change the narrative and stigma surrounding mental health in America“ You’ll need to explore the site to get a complete picture of the the services available to you. All you’ve read in this book compliments this.
www.cohenveteransnetwork.org - To get help, Click on Locate A Clinic. This will take you to a map which shows the location of the clinics. To the right of the map, click on show all locations, and this will take you to a list of sites. It gives the address and phone contact, email address and that locations own website. This is a site you need to explore. The Cohen Veterans Network is at the forefront of provision of services to the currently serving military community, and to veterans and their families. Through their Scientific Advisory Board, practitioners and clients at the Cohen clinics have access to the very latest in scientific research into a variety of therapies and approaches to the treatment of PTSD and related conditions.
www.giveanhour.org - This organisation has one of the most comprehensive truly national veteran support networks in the country. If you need help, click on the Get Help button. It will take you to Search for a provider, Resource Center, and FAQ’s. You’ll need to determine what you are seeking, then access the appropriate information and access what best suits you and your circumstance.
Then explore the whole site. There is a range of national and international initiatives Give An Hour is involved in, and you can learn a lot from this site.
www.woundedwarriorproject.org - As I understand it, WWP is the largest VSO (Veteran Support Organisation) in the United States. Through the portals of Connect, Serve, Empower, and Warrior Care Network on the Home Page, you are directed to a diverse range of support and information. Contact is easily made, and there is a comprehensive Newsletter. You’ll need to explore the site.
www.teamrwb.org - This organisation operates across all States of the USA. Their Mission is this: “Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.”On the Home Page, Click on “Our Approach” to get a comprehensive picture of all the services and activities available.
There are many other VSO’s organisations across the United States, too many to reference here. On an ongoing basis, the books website will identify more, and will be communicating directly with as many as possible
